<msm:block> renders a block of HTML (usually via an inner <msm:template>) using data from a bean call or a JSON value.

Basic usage (bean)

<msm:block id="settings" bean="settingsServiceImpl" scope="PROTOTYPE" item-name="s">
  <msm:template>
    <h1>${s|title}</h1>
  </msm:template>
</msm:block>

Usage with a method call

<msm:block
  id="seo"
  bean="translationServiceImpl"
  function="getTranslation(HomeTitle;translationsRepository)"
  item-name="t"
  scope="PROTOTYPE"

  <msm:template>
    <title>${t|value}</title>
  </msm:template>

Attributes

Attribute	Required	Meaning
`id`	yes	Unique block id.
`item-name`	no	Prefix for variables inside the block.
`bean`	no*	Bean id used as a data source.
`scope`	no*	`PROTOTYPE` or `SESSION` (required when `bean` is set).
`function`	no	Method definition to call on the bean (optional).
`value`	no	JSON value used instead of calling a bean (optional).

* In most cases you use either value or bean+scope. Example variable syntax:
